Les Aka-Piatto 80+/250 µm (et 120+/125 µm) sont utilisés pour le prépolissage plan d’échantillons dans des porte-échantillons, lorsqu’un enlèvement de matière important est nécessaire.

Aka-Piatto+ a une concentration de diamant plus élevée qu’Aka-Piatto et est donc moins agressif, ce qui convient bien aux échantillons fragiles comme les céramiques, les cermets et les carbures frittés.
