Aka-Piatto 120+/125 µm se utiliza para el esmerilado plano de muestras en portamuestras, donde es necesario eliminar una gran cantidad de material.

Con una mayor concentración de diamante que el Aka-Piatto, el Aka-Piatto+ trabaja con más suavidad en el paso de esmerilado y, por lo tanto, es más adecuado para muestras quebradizas como cerámica, cermets y carburos sinterizados que el Aka-Piatto normal.
