When heated, Aka-Resin PP flows efficiently and ensures complete infiltration of the sample, resulting in void-free mounts with good edge retention and surface planeness. The resin is ideal for mounting soft to medium-hard materials. It can also be used as a cost-effective backfiller in combination with high-performance resins like Aka-Resin Epoxy or Aka- Resin Melamine, particularly when edge retention at the sample interface is critical.

While Aka-Resin PP offers reliable performance and excellent efficiency for daily routines and standard applications, it is not intended to replace more specialised solutions where specific technical demands must be met. For applications requiring ultra-low shrinkage, maximum edge retention, or conductivity for SEM analysis, high-performance alternatives such as Aka-Resin Epoxy, Melamine or Phenolic SEM are recommended. These advanced resins are formulated to ensure optimal results in demanding analysis, where precision, material compatibility or analytical resolution are critical.
