Diamond Paste

Diamond Pastes are mainly used for manual sample preparation or to prime a new polishing cloth before using diamond suspension or diamond spray.

Aka-Paste Poly and Aka-Paste Mono diamond pastes are easy to distribute, homogeneous, and compatible with water, oil, glycerol and alcohol. Containing a maximum of 0.1% water, they are excellent for the preparation of water sensitive materials. For the shortest possible preparation times, all Akasel diamond polishing pastes are highly concentrated with a diamond content of 500 ct/l (carat/litre).

Diamond Polishing Paste For Metallographic Applications

In metallographic polishing, diamond polishing pastes are significant in manual sample preparation of metals. However, they can also be used for priming of new polishing cloths. These diamond pastes ensure effective material removal, making them ideal for achieving optimal surface finishes on metal samples. Their compatibility with various solvents enhance their usability across different polishing tasks, ensuring reliable results in metallographic applications.

Use Diamond Paste to Optimise your Polishing Cloth Performance

Priming new polishing cloths with diamond paste optimises their performance for subsequent polishing steps in metallography. This process distributes sufficient abrasive particles extending the cloth’s lifespan and improving its effectiveness. When used before a polishing step with diamond suspension, our diamond pastes prepare your polishing cloths for the best possible polishing step, ensuring superior surface finishes and reduced preparation times in your sample preparation.

These benefits make our diamond polishing pastes a valuable addition to your metallographic preparation toolkit, delivering efficiency in every application.
